Hello,
I know this is a long shot, but after seeing you play at the Kamloops Ribfest, I thought I would try anyway.
I am a volunteer firefighter, road rescue assistant and public relations officer with the Chase Fire Department.
We are in the middle of organizing a large fundraising event for the department that will take place on Sept. 26th.
While this event is to raise money for our department, we are also doing everything we can to ensure businesses within our small village benefit, as well as the reasients who support us so much all year long.
The Cache Bash is the first annual geocaching event which people of all ages can take part in . We have organized certain portions of the event to ensure some of the local seniors homes could take part as well as small children.
Those taking part in the cache bash will be treasure hunting throughout the day but will be meeting for a social around 3 pm , where a bbq will be held and prizes will be given away.
We are searching for a band to also play during this portion as we would like to end the night with a dance. We already have people registered for the event coming from as far as Alberta to take part.
Tickets to the social aspect of the event will also be sold on their own.
Our Firefighter’s Association was hoping you might be able to play at our event. We do not have a huge budget as we are a non profit and the event is a find raiser, but we would to be able to see if we could make something work.
Your music is just fantastic and we believe that even having you play could help us raise the money we need.
The money we raise will go toward replacing old gear and equipment sick as our radios and pagers that no longer work for call outs to fires and accidents. We will also be using it for training purposes, both in-house training, as well as sending some members for their requires certification.
These are all things that help keep our members safe on each and every call, and not luxury items.
Your help to make this event the best it could possibly be can help ensure all our members make it home to their families each night.
